Besuch in Dresden - visit of Dresden

Nachdem die ersten Termine erledigt waren, machte ich mich spontan auf nach Dresden, um Resi und die kleine Paulina zu besuchen. Bei bestem Wetter hatten wir alle einen tollen Nachmittag :)

After I was done with most of my appointment I decided to have a spontanious trip to Dresden to visit Resi and her little daugther Paulina :) We had great weather and it was a beautiful afternoon.

Urlaub in Deutschland - vacation in Germany

Für 2 1/2 Wochen hatte ich mich nach Deutschland abgesetzt, um vor der Sommersaison noch einmal Urlaub zu machen :) Die Zeit habe ich vor allem genutzt, um Familie sowie Freunde wieder zu sehen und zu besuchen. Nebenbei "durfte" ich mal wieder bei meiner Schwester ein wenig am Haus helfen... Als Dank gab es einen leckeren Grillnachmittag und später im Urlaub ging es auch noch mit meiner Nichte in den Zoo. Zuletzt besuchte ich das 10-jährige Klassentreffen meiner Abiturstufe, was doch allem in allem sehr schön und interessant war!

For about 2 1/2 weeks I escaped to Germany to take a small vacation before the summer seasons begins :) Most of the time I used to meet with family and friends. Besides I also got another "chance" to help working on the house of my sister. As payback they hosted a delicious bbq and later on I also got to spend a morning with my sister as well as my niece in the zoo. Last - I went to my 10-year out of school class reunion, which was quite nice and interesting.

Nordnorwegisches Kunstmuseum - Northern Norway Art Museum

Am letzten Samstag vor meiner Abreise hatte ich Eirik noch überredet mit mir das Nordnorwegische Kunstmuseum zu besuchen. Der Eintritt ist kostenlos, aber ich hatte es bisher noch nie geschafft dort selbst einmal vorbeizuschauen... Ich hatte es nur den Touristen empfohlen ;) Das Museum befindet sich in einem schönen Steingebäude direkt in der Nähe der Touristeninformation und bietet unterschiedliche Ausstellungen auf 3 Etagen. Im ersten Stock durfte man auch fotografieren, was ich natürlich getan habe. Die Ausstellung variiert von klassischer Kunst bis zu sehr modernen Arbeiten. Wir mochten es eher klassisch!

Last saturday, before I left for Germany, I could motivate Eirik to visit the Northern Norway Art Museum with me. It is free of admission, but I haven't visited it since I moved to Tromsø... I just recommend it to the tourist ;) The museum is a beautiful stonebuilding close to the tourist information. It has 3 floors with a treasure exhibit and changing exhibits on the the ground and second floor. In the treasure exhibition it is allowed to take pictures and of course I documented my favorites :) The art varies from classical to very modern, but we liked the classic pieces the best.
